The Will C. Wood track and field teams<\/strong> delivered an outstanding performance on Wednesday, sweeping Vanden<\/strong> in dominant fashion. The Wildcat boys cruised to a 103-38 victory<\/strong>, while the girls secured a strong 86-39 win<\/strong>\u2014a true showcase of speed, strength, and teamwork!<\/p>\n\n\n\n On the boys\u2019 side, Deshaun Seymour Jr.<\/strong> was unstoppable, winning three events<\/strong>\u2014the 100-meter dash (10.84 seconds), 200-meter dash (23.67),<\/strong> and the 4×100 relay<\/strong> with teammates Julian Hernandez, Timmothy Pinkney, and Azaireon Taylor (43.97).<\/strong> Mardell Taylor Jr.<\/strong> also put on a show, dominating the 110-meter hurdles (16.23), 300-meter hurdles (43.17),<\/strong> and the triple jump (39-04.00).<\/strong> Additional wins came from Alex Pelayo in the 1600 (4:47.11), Jackson Scott in the long jump (19-00.5),<\/strong> and Kallen Richey in the high jump (5-04).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Wildcat girls<\/strong> put on a stellar performance as well, led by Michelle Hughes<\/strong>, who took first in the 400-meter (1:01.12),<\/strong> and Tiekeya Robinson<\/strong>, who claimed the 200-meter (29.33).<\/strong> Hughes and Robinson also teamed up with Ruby Ford and Maurce Brewer<\/strong> to dominate the 4×100 relay (51.63).<\/strong> Lea Pendergraft<\/strong> was another standout, securing victories in the high jump (4-00)<\/strong> and pole vault (6-10).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n This was a huge win<\/strong> for the Wildcats, proving once again that hard work and dedication pay off<\/strong>.
