A wrestler from Will C. Wood High School has secured her spot in the upcoming CIF State Wrestling Championships. The Sac-Joaquin Section Masters tournament, held at Stockton Arena, served as the battleground where athletes showcased their dedication and skill.
Will C. Wood High School Standout:
State Qualifier: Senior 132-pounder, Sarah Thompson, made history by becoming the first female wrestler from Will C. Wood to qualify for the state tournament, showcasing her exceptional talent and breaking barriers in the sport.
The CIF State Wrestling Championships are scheduled to take place at Mechanics Bank Arena in Bakersfield.

Boys Soccer:
First Team All-League: Senior forward Daniel Smith led the Wildcats’ offense with exceptional skill and determination, earning him a well-deserved spot on the first team.
Second Team All-League: Junior midfielder Alex Johnson showcased versatility and playmaking abilities throughout the season, securing his position on the second team.
Honorable Mention: Sophomore defender Michael Lee received honorable mention for his steadfast contributions to the team’s defense.
Girls Soccer:
First Team All-League: Senior midfielder Emily Davis demonstrated leadership and technical prowess, making her an invaluable asset to the Wildcats and earning first-team honors.
